Toronto-based men’s and womenswear designer Andrew Coimbra will present his 2019 Spring collection at ModaLisboa, Portugal’s official Fashion Week, in partnership with Vogue Portugal, GQ Portugal, and Elle Portugal.

“The opportunity to physically showcase Canadian fashion talent internationally is incredibly exciting and a necessary component to local and foreign growth opportunities,” explained Coimbra, in a news statement.

Taking place October 14, 2018, Coimbra will show his full range Spring 2019 Collection. Inspired by the carefree spirit of summer in the city, the collection will fuse “textures, colour palettes and intentions with moods derived from urban spaces like bodegas and city parks.”

The eponymously-named designer launched his brand in 2015 when it was selected as one of five finalists in the Toronto Men's Fashion Week Emerging New Labels competition. Most recently, the designer was nominated for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Design at the 2018 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards.

ModaLisboa will take place October 11 to the 14, and will include over 25 designers.
