Fondaction CSN invests in designer Marie Saint Pierre

Fondaction development fund, a major Quebec union launched by the CSN (Confédération des syndicats nationaux), announced on Tuesday an investment in Quebec design house Marie Saint Pierre.

 
As one of the few fashion companies in Quebec who has maintained her company operations in the province, including design, distribution and production, Marie Saint Pierre will receive a financial investment of $750,000 from Fondaction. The investment will help the fashion house further develop its business in Canada as well as internationally.
 
The organization and Marie Saint Pierre share similar values, explains Geneviève Bouthillier, Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Fondaction, in a news statement.

Marie Saint Pierre was founded in Montreal in 1987. It has two stores in the Canadian city as well as one in Miami.
