Foot Locker announced Friday two executive promotions effective February 29. Stephen D. (Jake) Jacobs has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer North America and Lewis P. Kimble has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer International.
Jake Jacobs has been with Foot Locker for 18 years most recently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Foot Locker North America. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Champs Sports.

In addition to the executive promotions, Jacobs stated, “We have created a new position focused on the development of our rapidly expanding Kids business, and separated the leadership of SIX:02 from Lady Foot Locker." Natalie Ellis, the store division leader of SIX:02 in North America, will report to Jacobs.
On Wednesday, the Foot Locker Board of Directors approved a $297 million capital expenditure plan, which will account for a variety of growth initiatives including its remodel programs, shop-in-shop spaces, the expansion of its Kids and European businesses, technology improvements in its logistics and digital operations and the relocation of its headquarters in New York City in early 2016.
As of January 30, 2016, the New York-based footwear retailer operated 3,383 stores in 23 countries in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The company operates Foot Locker, Footaction, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, SIX:02, Runners Point, and Sidestep, as well as its direct-to-customer channels, including Eastbay.com, footlocker.com, and SIX02.com.
