Francesca Bellettini elected president of French Women’s Fashion Union Chamber

The Union Chamber for Women’s Fashion, the governing body of French fashion which runs the calendars of the Paris women’s fashion weeks, has a new president. Francesca Bellettini has joined the institution's board as president, taking over from Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel.

Bellettini has been the CEO of Saint Laurent since 2013. She began her business career in the banking sector, and then moved to the world of fashion and the Prada group. After Prada, she worked for Gucci and Bottega Veneta.

Within the Union Chamber’s board, she will be able to count on the expertise of Bruno Pavlovsky, who remains as vice-president, alongside Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, CEO of Chloé.

The board’s other members are Pietro Beccari (Dior), William Halimi (Barbara Bui), Sophie Duruflé (Isabel Marant), Séverine Merle (Celine), Issey Miyake (Issey Miyake), Guillaume de Seynes (Hermès), Sidney Toledano (LVMH Fashion Group), Daniel Tribouillard (Léonard) and Vincent Vantomme (Dries Van Noten).

Several labels joined the Union Chamber as associate members on the occasion of the AGM held on June 20. Notably Patou, whose relaunch was announced last summer, and which will show for the first time in Paris next September. Atlein, Aalto, Victoria/Tomas, Y/Project, Koché, Lacoste and Jacquemus have also joined the institution.

A few weeks ago, the Union Chamber's menswear counterpart elected Séverine Merle of Celine as president.
