According to a press release from Furla, South Coast Plaza is the largest shopping center on the West Coast of the United States, housing over 250 luxury boutiques and bringing in approximately 22 million visitors annually.

The Costa Mesa location will offer a range of the brand's women's and men's bags, small leather goods, shoes, sunglasses and scarves. Prices typically range between $98 and $548.

Located on the shopping plaza's second level and stretching over more than 1,151 square feet, Furla described the new store's concept as "minimalist yet sophisticated...combining authentic Italian heritage with contemporary design."

According to brand representatives, this newest location on the West Coast comes after seeing high activity from the area online.

"We have seen high traffic on our e-commerce site from LA-based customers and have identified this region as a market for opportunity," says Alberto Camerlengo, Furla's chief executive officer.

The new store comes as part of the Italian brand's U.S. expansion plan, joining a newly opened store on the East Coast in Miami.

Furla currently operates stores around the world, including brick-and-mortar locations in Rome, Milan, Paris and London.
