Lifestyle brands Future & Fauna and Squar’d Away have partnered to bring a pop-up dedicated to female-designed and sustainable products to New York City.

The pop-up, located in Nolita at 251 Elizabeth Street, will run from July 31 through August 4 and will offer visitors access to a selection of fashion accessories and home goods curated by both brands. Items were chosen in order to promote female entrepreneurship, fair labor practices, sustainability, positive environmental practices and the local artisans and craft community.

The Future & Fauna offering will include a variety of global goods like totes made of recycled polymer, hand-woven pouches made with natural dyes by Guatemalan artists, hand-crafted hexagonal ceramic mugs, planters and vases from Mexico, as well as hand-woven and hand-dyed pillows from India. All products are made by or designed by women.

The Squar’d Away collection will include several styles of silk bandanas and scarves in a range of sizes. All products are designed in Brooklyn, made in small batches and digitally printed to avoid wastewater. Some 20% of the proceeds from the sale of each scarf will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in honor of Squar’d Away founder Sara Harari-Buchnea’s father, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

“Future & Fauna is about supporting female artisans and entrepreneurs by offering products made by or designed by these women,” said Hilliary Latham, founder of Future & Fauna. “At the same time, we strive to carry products which are ethically sourced and created in a manner that is not harmful to our planet.”

“As a female entrepreneur, I’m proud to frequently partner with other woman-owned businesses and implement practices of mindful consumerism at the forefront of our operations,” added Harari-Buchnea.

As part of the pop-up experience, Latham and Harari-Buchnea will host events with a percentage of the evening’s proceeds benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Nest, an organization that supports artisans.
