GO Fashion Fair offers new kind of financial formula

The GO Fashion Fair, which has focused on sustainability, inviting ethically conscious brands to participate in its show, has also sought to innovate. For its third edition, to be held on January 25-26 in Amsterdam, it will put into place a new “win-win” business model for the sector.

This year, only visitors—not exhibitors—will have to pay to participate in the bi-annual event founded in January 2014 by Sylvie Verdierre and Stephan Waals. For the system to be advantageous to both parties, there will obviously be another consideration: while buyers will pay between 49 and 79 euros per company to participate, they will, however, be given a discount on their orders.

Brands will be obliged to offer a 7.5% discount on orders made at the show or resulting from a contact made the event, allowing them to enjoy a more substantial margin for resale orders. It’s a means of supporting the investment that trade show and all those involved represent.

The new idea has attracted 150 European fashion and accessories brands for the January 2015 edition of GO (Green Orange), which will be held this time in the Kromhouthal exhibition space.
