Gap Inc. appoints three new members to board

On October 4, Gap announced that it had appointed three new members to its board of directors. The trio will start serving on the board from November 1.

“We are pleased to welcome three new members to our board of directors,” said Bob Fisher, chairman of the board for Gap Inc., in a press release.

“Each of our new directors brings a diverse and solid understanding of today’s consumer, their needs, and the opportunities within the retail industry. Amy and Lexi have proven track records driving critical business decisions at the intersection of technology and commerce. John’s deep understanding of the company and substantial financial acumen will be immensely valuable to our board.”

Amy Bohutinsky is currently Zillow Group’s COO, where she oversees multiple aspects of the company’s multi-brand strategy, HR, marketing, communications, consumer care and facilities. Bohutinsky has served on the board of HotelTonight and also worked for Hotwire and NBC and ABC news affiliates.

John Fisher is a co-founder and general partner of the investment management firm Sansome Partners and is also a managing partner of the Oakland A’s and San Jose Earthquakes. A graduate of Princeton University and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, Fisher is also chairman of the KIPP Foundation board and a senior advisor to the Fisher Fund.

Lexi Reese is currently the COO of Gusto, where she works with customer experience, insights and operations, marketing and sales. Prior to her role at Gusto, Reese was vice president of programmatic sales and strategy globally at Google and has also worked for American Express.

Gap Inc. reported net sales of $15.9 billion for fiscal year 2017. The brand’s clothing and accessories retail in over 90 countries through a mix of company-operated stores, franchise stores, and e-commerce sites.
