Gaultier switches production to Gibo Spa

PARIS - French designer Jean Paul Gaultier has moved production of his women's ready-to-wear range back to the Italian group Gibo Spa after severing ties with another Italian company, Aeffe.
Gibo Spa, which handled the manufacture and distribution of Gaultier's range from 1981-94, will take over from Aeffe from the 2013/14 autumn/winter collection.
The deal means Gaultier's production and distribution will be handled by the a group that already handles a string of top fashion brands, including Jil Sander, John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli and Paul Smith.
