Genius Brands inks product deal with three top licensing companies
Media company Genius Brands International, Inc.—formed in a merger of Genius Brands and A Squared Entertainment—announced it is adding a line of Rainbow Rangers products in anticipation of the company’s upcoming animated action adventure series geared towards preschool girls that's slated to air in 2018.
The robust and colorful array of offerings is comprised of three licensing agreements: The Bentex Group (also associated with brands like Cherokee and Scholastic) for apparel, 60-plus year home décor company Jay Franco for whimsical bedroom bathroom goods and H.E.R. Accessories for jewelry, watches, hair accessories and more.
“We've made our list of preferred licensees and will actively pursue agreements, developing a robust global merchandising, licensing and retail program encompassing all key categories to coincide with the series launch," said Stone Newman, Genius Brands President of Global Consumer Products, Worldwide Content Sales and Marketing.
Genius Brands is known for producing and distributing educational and enriching products (over 40 thus far) a variety of age groups, ranging from Thomas Edison's Secret Lab to Warren Buffett's Secret Millionaires Club (created with and starring iconic investor Warren Buffett) and a new adult animated series called Stan Lee's Cosmic Crusaders.
Along with a private label and brand business producing clothing under the names of labels like Cherokee and Maui and Sons, Bentex is known for its impressive number of licensed character items for newborns, infants, toddlers, boys and girls.
