Italian designer Giambattista Valli has entrusted his off-the-peg clothing licence to Mariella Burani Fashion Group (MBFG). The contract will start with the winter 2010 pre-collection.

By signing with MBFG (Vivienne Westwood, La Perla, Bikkembergs, Patrizia Pepe…), Giambattista Valli has ended the partnership ties that he had held since his beginnings with Gilmar (Iceberg, Franckie Morello…).

The new contract has been signed with MBFG for a period of five years.

“I am very honoured by this new collaboration,” declared Giambattista Valli. “Mariella Burani Fashion Group has an international reputation, which is what convinced me to choose them as partners. We are going to be able to develop the world of Giambattista Valli Paris together without me losing my financial and artistic independence.”

Launched in 2005, the Giambattista Valli label is wholly owned by the Italian designer. It is currently distributed to around 220 points of sale in 42 countries around the world.
