Gordmans has announced plans to build an anchor department store at The Shoppes at Parma in Parma, Ohio. This store will mark the third Gordmans in the Cleveland area. The 45,000 square feet anchor will be adjacent to Dicks Sporting Goods, and is joining JCPenny, Walmart and other retailers in the 178,000 square feet mixed used development by Peco Real Estate Partners (PREP).
Scott Mitchell, PREP’s senior vice president of leasing, said, “The addition of Gordmans to our tenant roster is a huge step in the successful execution of our merchandising strategy for The Shoppes at Parma. We have more than 175,000 square feet of new retail either already open or now under construction. And the momentum continues to build.”
The Shoppes at Parma is an important source of revenue for the Alma, Ohio region. The addition of Gordmans, Ulta Beauty and a newly expanded Super Walmart, among other retailers and restaurants, will increase jobs and spur growth and spending in the region. Gordmans is expected to open this fall.
Gordmans, a value-priced retailer, was established in 1915 and has expanded to 102 stores in 22 states and 62 markets, as well as an e-commerce store. Stores offer apparel, footwear, accessories, home décor, gifts, designer fragrances, fashion jewelry, bedding and bath, accent furniture and toys.
