Greats names Charley Hudak Design Director

Brooklyn-based footwear label Greats has found a new Design Director in Charley Hudak. The creative confirmed the appointment on his LinkedIn profile.

 
Hudak joins Greats from Birdhaus, where he served as a designer. Prior to joining Birdhaus, he served as Design Director/Brand Director at And1 from 2014 to 2016 and a designer at DC Shoes from 2011 to 2014. While at And1, he designed 11 sneaker styles, including the Ascender, Havok, Reaper and Tempest styles, as well as the Fantom 2, and while at DC he designed 6 sneakers.
 
He also held design internships at Under Armour, Reebok, K-Swiss and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

The appointment of Hudak comes seven months after Greats secured $10 million in Series B funding. The label said in May that the funding would go toward expanding its team and product offering, and opening 10 pop up stores in the US in the next two years.
