Guess unveils new flagship concept in Barcelona
Jul 8, 2019
Los Angeles-based apparel brand Guess has revamped its Barcelona flagship.

The store, located at Paseo de Gràcia 63, now features a new concept inspired by abstract art and the Spatialism movement. New decorative elements include textured, geometric wall features, weave-design flooring, lacquered wall panels, titanium inserts and slender, modular furnishings and fixtures.
According to a statement from the brand, a key element of the upgrade is the introduction of a new and expanded ‘Denim Destination’ area, featuring a central denim table, lightbox images, a new dedicated signage and a denim menu.
The Barcelona flagship was first opened in July, 2010.
This past June, Guess reported that its European revenues rose by 2.2% during the first quarter 2020. Retail comparable sale in the region, including e-commerce, decreased 1% but increased 8% in constant currencies. Overall, the brand reported improved revenues in all geographies during the first quarter, but saw its net loss expand.
For three months ending May 4, total net revenues increased 3% to $536.7 million, compared to $521.3 million in the prior-year period. The company’s first-quarter net loss totaled $21.4 million, a 0.7% decline. Guess’s diluted loss per share remained flat at $0.27.
