Gwen Stefani to hit Tokyo Fashion Week

Gwen Stefani will be making a stop at Tokyo Fashion Week which starts March 14, thanks to her sponsorship deal with MasterCard Japan.

The pop icon will participate in the festivities for Tokyo Fashion Week with her first concert in Japan in 8 years taking place on March 16th. The designer is known for her affinity for Japan, singing about and even designing lines for her “Harajuku Girls”.

“Japan is very dear to my heart, and I love uncovering new layers of its rich culture and meeting extraordinary people that inspire so many parts of my life and my performances,” said Stefani about her upcoming appearance.

With her heavy fashion involvement as the mind behind L.A.M.B., Stefani is sure to pop up at other Fashion Week events. She starred in a MasterCard commercial with Japanese designer Keita Maruyama, who shows her line on March 14th.

Tokyo Fashion Week runs March 14 - 19, with most shows taking place at the official venue, Shibuya Hikarie.
