Hale Bob’s summer collection is Coachella-inspired, following the trend of designers showing looks on the runway that will be immediately available for purchase.

Tom Ford and Burberry made a splash at NYFW earlier this spring, showing looks that would be available for purchase this season instead of not until months later. Hale Bob is jumping on that train, having shown its summer collection in West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center last week.

Designer Daniel Bohbot explained the impetus for the new business model, saying “everything goes so fast… whatever [the consumer sees] today, you want.”

The label is seeing its consumers as part of the millennial generation, online- and Coachella-obsessed. With the music festival coming up and being a major social and life moment for this crowd, the summer collection hopes to strike a chord with consumers.

“Buy-now-wear-now is what’s going on,” Bohbot said. “Whatever we are going to present is available to buy the same day so you go online and you will be able to get the latest.”

The festival-inspired collection is now available to shop online.
