Hermès' Apple watch bands to be sold separately

The Apple Watch Hermès' special edition wristbands are being made available for purchase from Apple and Hermès stores, as well as select luxury retail locations.

In addition, a range of new colors will be introduced, with peacock blue, sapphire blue, orange, and white joining denim blue, brown, gray, black, and red.

On its own, a single tour leather Hermès band will go for $340, a double tour for $490, and the wide cuff for $690, according to the Hermès website, which lists the collection in advance of an April 19 street date.

Existing (or future) Apple Watch owners will be able to mix and match straps to Watch faces, creating their own Hermès edition.

The Apple Watch Hermès retails for between $1,100 (38mm watch, single tour band) and $1,500 (42mm watch, wide cuff).

Each makes use of a Stainless Steel Case edition Apple Watch face, otherwise available for $549 (38mm) or $599 (42mm) with the recently introduced Pearl Woven Nylon strap.
