French luxury fashion house Hermés is set to unveil an exhibition showcasing the work of painter and animal illustrator Robert Dallet in Paris this month.

The expo — titled "Fierce and Fragile: Big Cats in the Art of Robert Dallet" — sponsored by Hermès and benefiting conservation group Panthera, will be on show at the brand's flagship on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré from May 19 to June 10.

Following the success of an initial exhibition dedicated to Bruce Museum in Greenwich last January, Hermès will continue its tribute to Dallet --  who collaborated with Hermès for more than 20 years -- with the showcase of nearly 75 works by the late wildlife artist, featuring artworks of tigers, panthers and other wild creatures carefully hand designed by Dallet in gouaches, watercolors, Chinese ink and pencil sketches.

The art will contain works from the Emile Hermès Collection as well as that of the artist's family, and is also intended to raise awareness about the dangers of extinction facing big cats.
