Hermès to open HermèsFit pop-up gym in Los Angeles

After New York last November and Paris last December, Hermès is inaugurating its Hermès Fit pop-up gym event in Los Angeles from July 21 to 24. Four days where fitness-meets-fun and immerses visitors in the world of fashion accessories and sports.

Open to the public, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will offer a climbing wall, fitness activities, performances, DJ sets and the opportunity to discover Hermès accessories by signing up for a class. 
 
Among the amazing activities offered, the HermèsFit will feature 30 to 45 minutes 'Carré Yoga' classes, where participants can learn the art of handling the famous Hermès carré with yoga postures. Other classes will be dedicated to 'Belt Stretching', 'Kickboxing with Bangles', 'Voguing with Hats' and 'Mirror Mirror', each integrating different Hermès accessories. Enthusiasts can already learn the techniques via the videos of the coach Olivia Courbis through Hermès's website.

The luxury house can be found at The Hollywood Athletic Club, located at 4525 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. A fitness center opened in 1924, which welcomed among its prestigious members Clark Gable, Johnny Weissmuller, Errol Flynn and Charlie Chaplin, all of whom came to enjoy an Olympic-size swimming pool, gyms, racquetball courts, a handball floor and hotel rooms.
 
The address, which hosted the first Emmy Awards ceremony in 1949, was completely renovated in 1978. Once in the hands of Michael Jackson's family, the building hosted some of the biggest parties of the 80's, including Studio 54. The Beach Boys and George Clinton recorded their albums here. Scenes from the movie The Usual Suspects and Million Dollar Baby were filmed here and David Bowie even sang here in the late 90s.
