House of Vans is coming to Toronto for a third consecutive year, September 21 to the 23, in a new location. The three-day event, described as Vans’ cultural hub and international music venue, is organized by the American skateboarding-inspired label.
The pop-up House of Vans, which will include a live concert, art show, creative workshops, and a community market, will be located at 250 Fort York Blvd, at the newly revamped Bentway located underneath the Gardiner Expressway.
“As one of the key cultural hubs in Canada we are excited to bring House of Vans back to Toronto” said Vans Canada General Manager, Jared Bevens.
“We collaborated closely with the local community to bring Vans’ ‘Off The Wall’ spirit to life. With a fresh location at The Bentway and exciting interactive experiences, like our Get on Board skate clinics and the Community Market, House of Vans provides a platform to highlight and support the thriving creative culture of Toronto.”
The Vans brand, owned by VF Corporation, has long been involved in skateboard culture.
It often supportes athletes, musicians and artists through progressive events and platforms such as the House of Vans. Other platforms include the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing, Vans Pool Party, Vans Custom Culture, and the Vans Warped Tour.
All events and all activations are free and open to the public.
There are permanent House of Vans locations including in Brooklyn, New York, Chicago, Illinois and Waterloo, London. House of Vans also hosts pop-ups all around the world.
