Exactly two years after closing its doors on the Rue Saint-Honore in Paris, iconic French fashion concept store Colette is due back -- in film form.

The famous boutique -- a pioneer of the 'concept store' model, lauded by streetwear heads and fashion icons from Pharrell Williams to Karl Lagerfeld -- closed its doors after 20 years in 2017, despite its cult following and financial success, but will soon be back on the scene, in a documentary chronicling its final days.

Titled "Colette Mon Amour," the hour-long flick will give an insight into the store's last six months in operation, starting with the announcement of its closure. Founder Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman, the store's head buyer and creative director, will feature heavily in the production, which was directed by fellow Parisian Hugues Lawson-Body.

The film will also retrace the store's steps over its two-decade reign, with guest appearances from fashion and music icons including Virgil Abloh, Kanye West and Williams; as well as behind-the-scenes glimpses of some of the store's very last events -- such as the Saint Laurent guest curation on the first floor, which was entirely redecorated in the space of 48 hours.

Other names from across the fashion industry, including show producer Alexandre de Betak, Guillaume Henry and LVMH prize-winner Masayuki Ino, will also feature.

While no exact release date has been announced for the film yet, the documentary's official Instagram account says it will debut sometime in 2020. A sneak peek of the project -- created by La Pac Films, HLB and Highsnobiety -- was unveiled to close friends of the brand and family at a private screening last week in Paris.
