Iconix Brand Group announced on Tuesday numerous changes to its Board of Directors. The company appointed Sanjay Khosla and Kristen O’Hara to the Board, announced that it will nominate Kenneth Slutsky for the election at the 2016 annual meeting of stockholders and announced the retirement of Barry Emanuel upon completion of his current term. The appointments are a result of Iconix’s Board-initiated search for new independent directors that took place over the last four months.
Khosla, who currently serves on the Board of Directors of Zoetis Inc. and NIIT Ltd., brings over 35 years of global executive leadership experience to the Iconix Board. He has worked with companies Kraft, Fonterra, Unilever, Cadbury, Oreo, Milka and Trident. O’Hara is a marketing and advertising executive currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer, Global Media of. Time Warner.
Following the changes, the Iconix Board will have nine directors, including seven independent directors. If Slutsky’s election is approved, the more than half of Iconix’s directors will be new to the Board in the past two years.
Iconix Brand Group, Inc. owns, licenses and markets a portfolio of consumer brands including Candie's, Bongo, Joe Boxer, Rampage, Mudd, Mossimo, London Fog, Ocean Pacific and Danskin, among others.
