Kat Von D Beauty, renowned for its vegan make-up line, has signed up Iris Mittenaere as its new brand ambassador. The French beauty queen and TV personality is the new face of the make-up brand’s latest foundation, True Portrait.

At only 26, Mittenaere is an eclectic celebrity. The former Miss France and Miss Universe beauty queen began a dancing career, then switched to acting and TV hosting, working for French TV channel TF1.

She has now added a new string to her bow, becoming the brand ambassador of Kat Von D Beauty, and more precisely of the make-up brand’s new vegan foundation, True Portrait, which was launched on September 2.

“The True Portrait foundation by Kat Von D Beauty gives me a medium-level cover thanks to its light, fluid formula with a powdery touch. (...) Its matte finish is incredibly airy and persistent, and I know that True Portrait will last for hours. Better yet, it’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free, something which is really important for an animal lover like me,” said Mittenaere in a press release.

Elected ‘vegan celebrity of the year’ in 2017, U.S. tattoo artist, model and entrepreneur Kat Von D has founded a make-up line famous for its formulas, which are not tested on animals and do not contain animal-derived ingredients.

Kat Von D’s beauty essentials, including the new vegan foundation in 40 shades, are available at leading cosmetics retailers worldwide, among them Sephora. France, where Kat Von D's new brand ambassador hails from, is a market where the brand has been present since 2017, and for which it has ambitious plans.
