Italian luxury lifestyle brand Isaia marked its 60th anniversary as a brand with the opening of its first retail location in San Francisco at the Frank Lloyd Wright building at 140 Maiden Lane.

Designed by Ferrari Architetti of Lochte Architectural Group, the 7,900-square-foot store is a balance between the label’s design principles and Frank Lloyd Wright’s body of work.

The store maintains the original fixtures of the space that was previously occupied by V.C. Morris Gift Shop, such as the ceiling, walls, railings and the exterior façade, but the store does feature new design elements, such as Isaia Concept furniture that were altered to fit the space.

While much of the interior could not be changed due to the space being one of the original blueprints of the Guggenheim, interior designer Alberta Saladino incorporated sofas, vintage armchairs, sculptures and swinging bars all from the Espirit Nouveau gallery in Naples.

Much like Isaia’s additional 15 global boutiques, the San Francisco store houses a relaxed seating area, as well as a vintage Campari bar with a piano, all of which complement the Frank Lloyd Wright library.

In addition, the new retail location offers Isaia sportswear, tailoring and made-to-measure clothing.

Isaia operates retail locations in New York City, Beverly Hills, Milan, Capri, Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Mongolia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Yekaterinburg and Baku.
