Italian sportswear group Macron has reported a consolidated revenue for 2022 of €169.9 million, equivalent to a 36.5% growth, a record increase for the brand’s core business (excluding PPE sales). Revenue was up by 50% over the pre-pandemic result of €112.8 million generated in 2019.

EBITDA was €24.2 million, equivalent to 14.2% of revenue, while EBIT was €18.4 million, or 10.8% of revenue. As of December 31, 2022, the group's net financial position was in the black for €300,000, a significant improvement over the €35.1 million debt recorded in 2019.

Macron is focused on a multi-country, multi-sport strategy, and its 2022 results confirm a heavy reliance on international sales, which accounted for approximately 80% of revenue.

In the course of 2022, Macron expanded its monobrand store network, and currently operates over 165 stores in 20-plus countries, while still pursuing increasingly selective partnerships with leading multibrand sportswear retailers.

Macron is the official kit supplier of over 90 professional sport clubs worldwide, and for the fifth consecutive year it was listed among the top four brands in UEFA’s ranking of official kit suppliers in European football.

Macron is a leading brand in rugby, and the Macron Hero logo features on the jerseys of Europe's top national and club teams. The brand will sponsor seven national teams at the next Rugby Union World Cup, scheduled in France this year, and is the official supplier to World Rugby and the Rugby World Cup.
