Ivanka Trump fragrance reaches top spot on Amazon beauty

While Ivanka Trump's brand has been dropped by major retailers, her fragrance product has recently skyrocketed to the top spot on Amazon.

In the face of the 'Grab Your Wallet' consumer led campaign to boycott retailers that support the Trump family, Amazon beauty has shown there is still a market for the family's branded goods.

Ivanka Trump's fragrances, Ivanka Trump Eau de Parfum Spray for Women and Ivanka Trump for Women Roller Ball, reached the number one and number two spots on Amazon beauty recently.

The comments show an obvious political skew of the consumers who support Trump and disagree with how they feel the Trump family brands have been treated since the election results.

While Nordstrom most recently made news by dropping Ivanka's line, and Kellyanne Conway added to the political controversy by making statements in her official White House role for consumers to go out and support Ivanka and buy her product, the Amazon numbers show there is still a large consumer demographic that wants to show their support of all things Trump.

There are no negative comments on Amazon about the product. Instead, consumers commented they want to show their support in whatever way possible.

Amazon itself has not released any statement regarding the brand or sales.

While many brands are strategically distancing themselves from Trump -- for fear of the catastrophic media and consumer backlash evident through the mistakes that were the pro-Trump comments made by Under Armour's CEO Kevin Plank -- there is still an obvious commercial value with Ivanka's fragrance and her brand.

So much, in fact that in Beijing alone, over 65 applications for trademarks using the "Ivanka" name have been made.
