Baroque Japan Limited, the retailer for young women’s fashion apparel and accessories, this weekend opens its Enföld and Moussy fashion brand shops in New York City. Enföld opens on September 9 at 411 Bleecker Street in the West Village and Moussy opens on September 10 at 474 Broome Street in SoHo.
Launched in 2012, Enföld is one of the first domestic contemporary shops and currently operates six stores. The brand has a strong presence in Europe and is stocked at numerous boutiques throughout the region. The West Village store stands at 850 square feet and joins the many fashion retailers on Bleecker Street including Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Billy Reid and Gant Rugger.
The Moussy SoHo store is 1,776 square feet and focuses on its denim made in Japan. Shoppers that purchase the brand’s Japanese denim jeans will receive an original, limited edition paulownia box to store the product. Moussy has been a Baroque brand since 2000, and it currently operates 43 stores in Japan and 81 stores in China and Hong Kong.
The new store openings in New York City are part of Baroque’s expansion to the US. The company entered the American market with a new company, Baroque USA Limited that was founded in April 2016 to open new shops in the New York City area and to form an information-gathering hub in the American market. Baroque was founded in 2000 providing innovative, cutting-edge fashion, and the company currently operates 356 stores in Japan, 165 stores in China and Hong Kong and 15 brands as of June 2016.
