Jessi Cruickshank to host 2019 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards

The Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards (CAFA) is fast approaching and for its sixth year, the event dedicated to celebrating Canadian fashion talent, has announced Jessi Cruickshank as its 2019 host.

“I am so thrilled to be back as this year’s CAFA host,” said Cruickshank, in a news statement. “My goal is to help celebrate our thriving fashion community and to have as many wardrobe changes as humanly possible.”
 
CAFA named the Canadian television personality on Wednesday.

The bubbly TV star will host a number of Canadian designers and retailers who will be honoured at the fashion gala. Nominees include designer Unttld and Greta Constantine nominated for The Womenswear Designer of the Year Award alongside Ellie Mae Studios, Line, and Sid Neigum; Christopher Bates who will square off against Canadian brands Frank and Oak, Raised by Wolves and 18 Waits for The Menswear Designer of the Year Award – and other names in categories including styling, modelling and other fashion achievements.
 
CAFA also announced that Montreal-based and internationally recognized singer-songwriter, Charlotte Cardin, will be performing a selection of her songs during the awards gala. 
 
The red carpet gala will take place on May 30 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto where the winners, across a total of 17 award categories, will be announced.
