Jessica Alba teams with DL1961 denim on grunge-inspired collection

Jessica Alba, actress, philanthropist and entrepreneur, can now add designer to her resume. Often photographed in a pair of jeans, a wardrobe staples, it is not entirely surprising that her first foray into designing would be with DL1961. Alba has been a longtime fan of the brand.

 
Although the 10-piece collaboration will not debut until this August, but the DL1961 website has already provided plenty of intel on the collection. The collection, with high waists and deliberate rips, has a distinct urban vibe blended with some grunge, reminiscent of the nineties. Alba is also the face of the collection.

Established in 2008 in New York City, DL1961 specializes in high-performance, on-trend denim for women, men and children. The company’s denim is available for purchase in 30 countries and 1,500 specialty stores worldwide.
