Joe Mimran invests in Lunata Hair
Joe Mimran is making an investment in the beauty sector.
The founder of Joe Fresh and Club Monaco will invest in beauty tech company, Lunata Hair, founded by Monica Abramov and Anastassia Boguslavskaya.
The Toronto-based company, founded in 2017, specializes in wireless and portable styling products, including hair straighteners and curling wands.
The cordless styling products are currently sold at Nordstrom.com, Amazon, Holt Renfrew in Canada and will soon be available at Ulta Beauty.
"Like all true entrepreneurs, Monica and Anastassia saw a need in the market and filled it. With its debut product, Lunata is poised to become a force in the emerging beauty tech market, and I'm looking forward to help fuel the growth of the business," Mimran, who will equally be providing strategic direction for Lunata's future, said in a news statement.
The Canadian entrepreneur, fashion designer, consultant and retailer, has had a focus on investing in consumer tech companies in recent years.
This summer, Mimran also announced he is developing a new apparel brand for grocery chain Kroger.
