John Elliott opens second store in Miami

Published

Having opened its first standalone brick-and-mortar store in 2019, LA-based fashion brand John Elliott has chosen Miami as the location for its second flagship.

According to a post on the brand’s Instagram account, the new store – located at 119 NE 41st Street, in Miami’s Design District – is now open for business.

Measuring 3,300 square feet, the flagship features a number of design elements already incorporated in the brand’s debut store on Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, by architect Stephen Wiemer. However, the new location also includes Miami-specific details.

Contrasting white tiles and mirrored surfaces with a matte finish, the minimalist environment seeks to reference the shimmering heat of Miami, while plants punctuate the space with bursts of green. The store’s dressing rooms feature a high-gloss finish and interior lighting.

San Francisco-born Elliott founded his eponymous brand as a menswear label with business partner and friend Aaron Lavee in 2012. Since launch, the label has become known for its well-tailored basics and eye-catching outerwear.

In 2014, Elliott was named GQ’s Best New Designer of the Year and in 2016 he was nominated for Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards.

The brand launched its womenswear line in 2018 and, following collaborations with Nike and LeBron James, revealed its first in-house footwear efforts earlier this year. Made in Italy, the John Elliott Speed Lace Up Boot “Desert Suede” was released, priced at $598, in January.
