John Elliott expands to footwear with latest capsule collection

John Elliott unveiled its Season 7.5 capsule collection, which includes the brand’s first foray into footwear.

 
The new sneaker is a leather high top, basketball-inspired silhouette with a white midsole and outsole and can be styled with the laces tied around the ankle. The style is available in a natural tone and jet black.
 
Elliott spoke with GQ in a recent interview and reminisced about his 2013 interview with the magazine where he expressed plans to expand to footwear and sunglasses. He told the publication that he expanded to footwear now because he found the factory in Italy that “could achieve the quality that not only I wanted to represent our brand but also to a certain degree push things forward.” Elliott also announced that low top sneakers are in the works and can debut as early as his next show.

Season 7.5 made its first delivery of t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, denim shorts and outerwear on June 20. Prices range from $86 to $1,610.
