John Targon launches knitwear label Fall Risk

Published
May 1, 2019

John Targon is back with the launch of Fall Risk, the fashion industry alumni's new knitwear label.

Instagram @fallriskinc

Targon, who co-founded the brand Baja East with Scott Studenberg in 2015, most recently sent shock waves through the fashion industry when he joined Marc Jacobs International as its creative contemporary director in February of 2018; only to make a departure from the role in April of the same year.

Now with Fall Risk, which launched on April 30, Targon has delivered a range of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories with a vintage 70s and 90s flair in bold, campy silhouettes. Stand-out pieces shown on the label’s Instagram profile include a graphic long-sleeved polo shirt printed with the number 69, wide leg pants, knitted bralettes and striped knitted vests.

On the brand’s e-commerce platform, pieces from Fall Risk’s debut Volume 1 release range from $45 for a Juul case to $430 for a pair of knit sweatpants. Pieces from the label are available in limited quantities, and all of the pieces available on the label’s e-commerce page are currently listed as sold out.
