Judith Ripka appoints Christina Caruso as Creative Director

Xcel Brands announced on Wednesday that Christina Caruso has been named Creative Director for the Judith Ripka brands.

 
Caruso brings 15 years of fashion accessory and jewelry design to Judith Ripka. As Creative Director, she will collaborate with Chief Designer Judith Ripka on all Judith Ripka labels. Caruso will also appear frequently on QVC as a presenter of the brand’s exclusive collection.
 
Prior to joining Judith Ripka, Caruso consulted as Design Director for Isaac Mizrahi Collection and Banana Republic’s jewelry and sunglasses division, and she taught Accessories Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design. Caruso also operates a namesake fashion jewelry and accessory line.

Xcel Brands in November entered into a new license with Bentex Group Inc./Indecor LLC for the Judith Ripka brand. The license is for fashion bedding, bath, decorative pillows, window panels, and valences that will launch at select retailers under the Judith Ripka Home label in 2017.
