Keen: Steve Meineke, new president

Keen, the American outdoor footwear brand has a new president: Steve Meineke, who will take up his post on June 1. He succeeds Mike Abbott, who left the company less than a month after his appointment in June 2013.

Steve Meineke, an accomplished sportsman and the new president of Keen


"With his wealth of experience, Steve Meineke is the right leader to support further development of the European business and drive Keen forward," said John Jansen, Keen general manager and head of EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).

Previously, Steve Meineke served for two year as CEO of the cycling company Accell North America (ANA). From 2004 to April 2012, he was president of Raleigh America Inc. Over the course of his career, Steve Meineke has also held prominent positions at brands like Nordica USA, Vuarnet France and Salomon North America.
