Kerby Jean-Raymond exits Reebok

Pyer Moss founder Kerby Jean-Raymond announced on Thursday that he will be stepping down from his role as global creative director at Reebok, as of next month.

Jean-Raymond has worked with Reebok since 2017 and officially stepped in as the global creative director in September 2020, where he was credited for unifying the brand’s direction, resulting in significant growth among key categories.

“I enjoyed my time with Reebok and wish the company well in all of its future endeavors," said Jean-Raymond, in a news statement.

“We want to sincerely thank Kerby for his many contributions to Reebok,” added Reebok president Matt O’Toole. “The positive impact he has made on the brand will be felt for years to come. We wish him the very best.”

The move comes as Reebok most recently changed hands. It was sold to Authentic Brands Group in August by former owner Adidas for $2.46 billion. Adidas first purchased the U.S. sportswear label for $3.8 billion in 2006, but was under long-term pressure from investors to sell the brand.

Most recently, in January, Authentic Brands Group announced a partnership with Al Boom Marine as its new operating partner for Reebok in the GCC, the Middle East including Iraq and Lebanon, and North Africa including Algeria, Egypt and Morocco. Prior to that, it inked a deal with UK sport retail group JD Sports to distribute Reebok in Europe and the U.S. via its approximately 2,850 stores.

Jean-Raymond's final offering from Reebok by Pyer Moss—Collection 4 is expected to launch in late March.
