Launching this Friday September 25th, the collaboration capsule, called ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, celebrates Highsnobiety’s 10th anniversary. The name comes from the inspiration for the sneakers, which are New York City and Berlin, the two cities in which Kith and Highsnobiety have their respective roots.
The two Puma sneakers are the RF-Blaze of Glory and the RF698S, two sneakers that have been reworked by Kith founder, Ronnie Fieg. The Blaze of Glory sneaker features a patriotic navy, red and white colorway, co-branded forefoot straps, quilted upper, asymmetrical stars-and-stripes on the tongue tabs and red accents on a speckled Trinomic midsole.
The second sneaker, the RF698S, has a black premium nubuck quilted upper with pops of red on the rear midsole and front outsole, a moto-deboss pattern to the heel wrap, and 3M German flag inserts on the medial form stripes and co-branded tongue patches. Fieg designed the RF698S as an update to the original R698 silhouette by removing the tongue and adding a mesh-neoprene inner-sock.
Each pair is packaged inside a custom box that displays graphics of each sneaker’s respective countries. The Kith x Highsnobiety x Puma collection will retail at $160 and be available at the Kith Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, on the Kith website and Soto Berlin.
