Kith opens new Aspen holiday pop up store

Kith on Friday opened a new pop up store in Aspen at 430 E Cooper Avenue coinciding with the launch of the Kith Aspen collaboration collection.

Designed by frequent collaborator Snarkitecture, the Kith Aspen pop up features a mountain-inspired interior with white tavern-like inserts and light colored wooden floors. The pop up, which will remain open into the beginning of 2017, offers brands such as Adidas and collaboration pieces with Capita, Union, New Era, Tumi, Timberland and Columbia, which is one half of the Kith Aspen collection.

The Aspen collection is themed after Columbia’s Superstorm Intelligence Team, a 3 department operative team that focuses on mountain expeditions. The 16-piece collection consists of hoodies, pants, base layers, outerwear and accessories that feature Columbia’s TurboDown insulation and Omni-Heat and Omni-Tech technologies.

In addition to the Aspen collection, Kith is offering 12 collaboration pieces with Adidas, Tumi and Timberland among others ranging from beanies, caps, face masks, a snowboard, luggage, bindings and footwear.

Kith in December also opened its first Miami flagship store, which was first announced at the beginning of 2016. The Snarkitecture-designed store is the retailer’s fifth US store and the first outside of New York City.
