Kitson founder Fraser Ross is planning a comeback according to the American press. Ross shut down his Los Angeles retail chain at the beginning of 2016 and now it is being reported that he is preparing to open a new store.
Kitross, a combination of Ross’ middle name and last name, will be a men’s, women’s and kids’ concept store “with take-and-go items as opposed to contemporary wear”, and the concept will promote local designers from Los Angeles. Some items that will be offered in store include apparel, accessories and licensed gifts.
Kitson hit financial troubles in 2013 that it could not recover from. The West Coast retail chain announced in January 2016 that it would close all of its locations after over 15 years of business. The retailer’s 17 locations held a closing sale offering items for up to 70% off.
According to Ross, Kitross will open at Kitson’s Robertson Blvd space in Beverly Hills as early as May.
