Kristen Cavallari launches all natural makeup line

The designer and former star of Laguna Beach has collaborated with Utah-based brand Young Living Essential Oils to launch a new cosmetics line based on natural ingredients.

 
Called Savvy Minerals by Young Living, the new makeup line made in collaboration with Kristin Cavallari, touts itself as free of chemicals and based on mineral ingredients. The brand posts the ingredients of all its new makeup products on its website, with its mineral eyeliner made of micas, populus tremuloides bark extract and Kaolin clay. The brand says the mineral ingredients have skincare benefits and the products are also labeled as vegan and not tested on animals.
 
Cavallari, who came to fame on MTV’s Laguna Beach in the early 2000s, says she has been a fan of Young Living for some time and was approached by the brand in December to collaborate on the makeup line.

The Savvy Minerals collection includes the likes of lipgloss, foundation, eyeshadow, powder and blush. Prices for the products, which are available today on the Young Living website, range from $20 for the finishing spray to $60 for the translucent powder.
 
Young Living was founded by D. Gary Young in 1989 and is known for its therapeutic-grade essential oils. This is the first cosmetics line for the brand.
