Kylie Cosmetics reveals plans for NYC pop-up

In December of 2016, Kylie Jenner opened her first brick-and-mortar venture for her best-selling Kylie Cosmetics brand. Jenner is now bringing the pop-up experience to the East Coast with the opening of a New York City temporary shop.

The youngest Kardashian announced on SnapChat Tuesday morning that her Kylie pop-up shop is “Coming Soon [to] NYC”. No date or location for the pop-up has been announced.

The Los Angeles location of the Kylie Cosmetics pop-up, situated in the Topanga Westfield mall, saw hours-long line-ups outside the retail space. In addition to the full line of Kylie Cosmetics and the Kylie Cosmetics holiday collection, Kylie’s self-branded line of apparel, including sweatshirts, socks, and underwear, was also available in-store.

Kylie Cosmetics has done impressively well for a celebrity retail venture. The brand, that currently offers five different product offerings (including crème eyeshadow, powder eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip gloss and the infamous ‘lipkit’), has frequently outshine competing brands – the proof in L2’s recent study that showed “Kylie Lip Kits” was the most-searched term on Google in the cosmetic industry last year. Similar products to the lip kit were launched by top industry players, including Nyx, Anastasia, Colourpop, and Tarte.

Kylie Cosmetic’s weekly product drops frequently sell out within minutes, once even crashing the Google platform that hosts the site.
