L’Oréal Paris names Céline Dion as new global spokesperson

Performing and recording artist Céline Dion received a new title on Tuesday as L’Oréal Paris' newest global spokesperson. 

 
The 51-year-old will make her debut for L’Oréal Paris in an advertisement for Excellence Crème Hair Colour.
 
“I’m at a stage in my life where I’m excited to use my voice to empower others to feel beautiful, confident, and to learn to embrace themselves.” said Dion, in a news statement.

Dion has won the hearts of many throughout her 30-year music career. She will end her long-standing Las Vegas residency in June, while she has also been busy launching her line of gender-neutral children's clothes. 
 
“L’Oréal Paris has a longstanding history of supporting women in their journey to fulfill themselves according to their own rules and desires. Signing Céline Dion as the newest member of the L’Oréal Paris family builds on our mission of aligning with spokeswomen who are strong, self-empowered, assertive, diverse and inclusive,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris global brand president.
 
Dion joins other celebrities like Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, and Liya Kebede and Helen Mirren, to name a few who have represented the brand globally.
