La Perla announced this month a new licensing agreement with London-based beauty manufacturer and distributor CBBeauty. The agreement involves the development, production and distribution of the Italian lingerie brand, and is the two companies’ first international project together.

CBBeauty, which manufactures and distributes fragrances for designers and celebrities such as Burberry and Rihanna, will launch the new La Mia Perla fragrance in the UK in May, followed by the EMEA market, Italy and the US. La Perla fragrances were previously licensed by Perfume Holdings.

Revlon acquired CBBeauty in 2015, four years after Corrado Brondi founded the UK-based company. The acquisition included SAS & Company, which distributes and markets perfumes and beauty products for Burberry, Carven, One Direction and Rihanna. Brondi has remained with CBBeauty and SAS as CEO.

“Our love of beauty drives everything we do, and we are thrilled to have this unique opportunity to bring La Perla creative director Julia Haart’s vision to life,” said Lisa Ricci, SVP of brands at CBBeauty.

“The size of our company, enables us to tailor our approach to every brand we work with, carving out concepts and products together, paying close attention to detail in the process. We believe in telling stories of craftsmanship, passion and creativity because we want people to feel, live and fall in love with our brands.”

La Perla in 2016 appointed Haart as Creative Director, after working with the designer on accessories collections. Two years prior, she launched her eponymous footwear label. The 63-year-old company this year opened a new flagship store in Milan, and currently operates over 150 global stores,.
