Le Coq Sportif grows at a slower rate

Published
Apr 4, 2011

Le Coq Sportif has carried on progressing, although at a slower rate than before. In 2010, the brand saw its total sales go up 8% to almost 90 million euros, making a profit before tax of 4.1 million. Direct sales grew 14% to 72.5 million. It must be said that the group behind the brand, Swiss holding company Airesis, is little by little regaining control of its markets. In France, sales have already increased by 12% and exceeded 38 million euros.

Airesis second division, Boards & More (Fanatic, Ion, North Sails Windsurf and North Kiteboarding), registered a 13% growth in sales and turned over more than 33 million. Full details of the management report will only be published on April 15Th, although the company has already said that, given the foreseen investments and the price rise of raw materials, profitability could be lower in 2011.
