Lee Cooper Kids is gearing up. The children’s fashion line, which took its first steps at the last Who's Next is coming out with a Spring-Summer 2012 collection. To steer the project, Linda Textile, which holds a 10-year license, has created a joint venture with Sun City, which specializes in children’s apparel and is already in charge of Little Paul & Joe and other major American licsenses as well as being, as of this year, a minority shareholder in CWF. Created this summer, Lee Cooper Kids is based in Tremblay in France, Sun City, and is headed by the company’s owner Michel Benchetrit. In order to develop the commercial side, Richard Vidal has joined the team as Director of European Sales. He has worked for Du Pareil au Même, Petit Bateau and Custo Barcelona.

With the first collection aimed at girls and boys from 4 to 14 years of age, both partners wish to conquer the 18 countries for which they hold the license. Today, they are already in the process of tackling France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland, Portugal, Greece and Spain. “We have an agreement for 18 countries but it can spread rapidly to other markets. The official launch will take place at Bread & Butter in January," said Richard Vidal.
