Linda Wells joins Revlon as Chief Creative Officer

Published
Feb 13, 2017

Formerly contributing beauty editor at large at New York Magazine’s The Cut, Linda Wells will be joining Revlon as the company’s new Chief Creative Officer. In this new role, Wells will be responsible for the look and feel of all the company’s brands, from advertising to packaging to point of sale.

Fabian Garcia, Revlon’s President & CEO, will oversee Wells. “As we continue to strengthen our portfolio of iconic brands,” Garcia stated, “Linda’s extensive knowledge of the beauty industry and her experience assessing and reporting on the global beauty sector will elevate the prestige, image and execution of our brands. She will also be integral to ensuring the glamour, sophistication and innovativeness that are original to both Revlon and Elizabeth Arden brands’ iconic heritage.”

Wells has extensive experience in the beauty industry - she founded Conde Nast's Allure magazine, a print publication dedicated to all things beauty, where she remained Editor-in-Chief for 25 years. After Wells was replaced by Nylon's Michelle Lee in 2015, Wells served as the beauty editor-at-large of The Cut. With the help of Hearst, she also created her own inset, called “The Linda Wells Report” that appeared in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Town & Country.

Wells' role is effective from February 13.
