The concept behind the fashion house's shows contains multiple artistic and literary references, with some creations adopting sculptural forms. There is no doubt that the brand's British creative director, Jonathan Anderson, stands out from the crowd in the luxury sector as one with the closest ties to the world of art. One only has to enter Loewe's stores to see this, like the one the label opened last year in Paris’ Rue Saint-Honoré, where Richard Hawkins' paintings share the limelight with Picasso's porcelain doves. Owned by French luxury group LVMH, the brand manages to create a unique blend between fashion and art.

The exhibition opened on February 18 - Loewe

Following its past creative endeavors, the Spanish brand founded by Enrique Loewe in 1846 is embarking on a new artistic project, sponsoring the first major exhibition by British artist Anthea Hamilton, who specializes in installations, sculptures, videos, and performances. The event inaugurated on Friday, February 18, will be open to the public until May 15 at the Museum of Modern Art in Antwerp, the M HKA.

Entitled "Mash Up" and curated by Anne-Claire Schmitz, the exhibition presents a total of 70 artworks by the London-based artist, who trained at the Royal College of Art in the British capital, across 1800 square meters of museum space.

Meanwhile, the luxury brand known for its leather goods, will host the fifth edition of its foundation’s Craft Prize in Seoul this June, the award that celebrates the work and talent of contemporary artists and artisans. Promoted by Jonathan Anderson in 2016, the project is a tribute to the brand's artisanal roots. The names of the 30 finalists have already been announced, a list of talents that includes Spanish artist Trinidad Contreras.
