Montreal-based activewear brand Lolë hosted the seventh edition of the Lolë White Tour last month, at a new location in its home city.

The event, which invites yogis and yoginis to join an outdoor yoga session dedicated to peace, took place on Île St-Hélène at Parc Jean-Drapeau. It was lead by yoga instructors and set to live music.

For the seventh edition, the yoga session was lead by New-York writer and lecturer Elena Brower, as well as Montréal’s own Julien Gagnon. There were equally meditation sessions throughout the day, by the likes of yoga therapist Marie-Françoise Mariette and others.

The event, which first launched in Montreal in 2012, continues to be a success in its home city. Held also in Toronto since 2016, the event skipped Toronto this year. However, its sister event, Lolë White Tour On The Road, continues to run yoga sessions in cities across Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

The initiative is inline with similar community focused events lead by fellow activewear brands. Australian technical fashion brand Lorna Jane hosts Active Nation Day, an event consisting of fitness activities hosted worldwide. It was launched by the brand to encourage women to mark their commitment to active living.

Meanwhile, fellow Canadian activewear brand Lululemon Athletica hosts a number of activities such as running groups in various neighbourhouds across North America.

Since launching, Lolë, owned by parent company Coalision Inc., has expanded into menswear, as well as into subscription services.
