London Hat Week returning this October

Published
Sep 30, 2016

The London showcase dedicated to all things related to hats is coming back this October after an 18-month break. The fun-packed schedule of events kicks off on Thursday 6 October at several venues.

London Hat Week

Featuring a collection of hat related events run by individuals and organisations across London, London Hat Week invites guests to celebrate the art of hat making in the city that continues to be the home of some of the most talented milliners in the world.

Founded and curated by Becky Weaver of HATalk e-magazine and Georgina Abbott of Atelier Millinery, the showcase’s schedule will include workshops, masterclasses, sample sales and an official exhibition with many hat creations made by international designers at Coventry University’s campus in Central London.

A highlight of the week will be a live conversation between renowned London milliner Stephen Jones and iconic fashion journalist Hilary Alexander at a reception at the Dirty Martini bar in Monument on 10 October. The event will raise funds for the London Hat Week Charity Partner, Brain Tumour Research.

London Hat Week will run until Wednesday 12 October.
