London is Europe's most attractive city for retail investment says CBRE

Published

It is not surprising that London is looking like the European city with the highest retail potential in the next few years.

In the top three places of the ranking by real estate company CBRE, the British capital is the leader, ahead of Paris and Amsterdam, which are in turn followed by Milan and Berlin.

CBRE also credited other German cities with a significant position in the ranking, Munich and Cologne respectively placing in 6th and 7th place.

CBRE based its ranking on a panel consisting of 18 countries and 126 cities, all regularly analysed by CBRE Global Investors using five key criteria: demographic evolution, inflow, tourism, available retail range and existing commercial demand.

Then, in order to refine the results, a filter was added, featuring retail investment volume and household consumption expenditure.
